A power bridge is a two-piece kit that lets you pass TV cables through the wall without cutting a new electrical outlet. One plate goes behind the TV, the other near the floor by your outlet. Your HDMI and audio cables run through a tube inside the wall between the two plates, and a built-in power extension routes the electricity safely — so zero visible cables from TV to outlet.

Is a power bridge the same as running cables in the wall?

Does a power bridge work on any wall type?

Power bridges work on standard drywall with open wall cavities. They don't work on brick, concrete, plaster, or walls with fire blocks between studs. If your wall isn't compatible, your technician will let you know on arrival and can switch to our basic TV mounting ($149) with cables visible, or discuss other options.

Is a power bridge safe? Is it up to code?

Yes — power bridge kits are UL-listed and designed to meet electrical code. The power is routed through a built-in extension inside the kit, not loose inside the wall. This is the code-compliant way to pass power behind a wall-mounted TV without hiring an electrician to install a new outlet.

How long does installation take?

About 60 minutes total — that includes mounting the TV, installing the power bridge plates, fishing the cables through the wall, and connecting everything. It's faster than in-wall outlet installation because there's no electrical work involved.

Do I need to buy the power bridge kit?

Can I add a soundbar or LED lights?

Yes — add soundbar mounting ($69) or LED backlighting ($49) to your booking. The soundbar goes directly below the TV and the LED strip goes behind it for ambient lighting. Add them in the cart when you book online.

I already have a mounted TV — can you just add the power bridge?

Yes — book this service and mention in the notes that the TV is already up. Your technician will take the TV down temporarily to install the power bridge plates behind it, route the cables through the wall, and put the TV back up on the existing mount. No extra remounting charge.

How much does this service cost?

Can I remove the power bridge if I move?

TV Mounting With Power Bridge & Hidden Cables

For drywall only. A more affordable alternative to adding a new outlet, this option uses a power kit to route electricity from a nearby outlet to a new outlet behind the TV. The key difference is that the kit connects externally at the bottom of the wall to your nearest outlet, leaving a visible cable. Best selected if you have a credenza or TV stand below to conceal the cord.
