Anything over 50 inches — large mirrors, oversized artwork, large shelving units, heavy wall-mounted cabinets, and similar items.

Is there a weight limit?

The weight limit depends on the product itself — most items list a maximum weight in the manual. We use the right heavy-duty hardware for your wall type to support whatever the item is rated for.

Do you bring the hardware for heavy items?

Yes — we bring all necessary mounting hardware including heavy-duty anchors, lag bolts, and masonry bits. No extra charge for hardware.

Can you mount a large mirror above a fireplace?

Yes — we regularly mount large mirrors and artwork above fireplaces. Read our guide to hanging heavy mirrors for what to expect.

Are you insured for mounting heavy items in a co-op or condo?

Yes — NYC TV Guy carries general liability and umbrella insurance. If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before any wall work, we provide one on request. Just mention it when you book your appointment.

How much does large item mounting cost?

Large item mounting is $150 per item. This includes all heavy-duty mounting hardware. Book online and describe the items in the notes.

Can you mount a large item and a TV in the same visit?

Yes — add TV mounting ($175) and large item mounting to the same booking. Common combo: TV on one wall, large mirror or artwork on another.

What if I need to take down a large item first?

Add our large item dismounting service ($70) to the same booking. We'll take it down, patch the holes with Dry-Dex spackle, and mount the new item — all in one visit.
