Crown Heights is defined by its grand brownstones and limestone rowhouses — wide blocks of double-bay and triple-bay townhouses that were built as the finest residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. Today the interiors are a mix of original plaster and modern renovations, and we handle both with confidence.

Crown Heights has some of the widest, most architecturally elaborate brownstones in all of Brooklyn — many of the Eastern Parkway-facing blocks feature three and four-story limestone buildings with original plaster walls, ornate ceiling medallions, and floor-to-ceiling bay windows.
Many of these buildings have been converted into two- and three-family homes over the decades. This means we often work in apartments carved out of original floor plans, where walls may be a combination of original plaster and modern drywall partitions added during renovation.
We also work frequently in the converted apartment buildings on Kingston and New York Avenues — larger pre-war buildings with thicker plaster walls and shared hallways that require careful furniture and equipment navigation.
