Clinton Hill's architectural variety is one of its charms — and one of our challenges. The large Victorian mansions on Clinton and Washington Avenues have been divided into multiple apartments, and the interiors reflect decades of renovation. We may encounter original plaster in one room, modern drywall in a renovated kitchen, and an unexpected brick wall in a rear extension — all in the same apartment.

Smaller brownstone rowhouses in the neighborhood are more predictable — plaster on lath throughout, high ceilings, and original woodwork. We anchor carefully and route cables cleanly.

The area around Pratt Institute has a number of newer condo conversions and purpose-built rental buildings. These are standard drywall or concrete construction and we handle them quickly.
