At the same size, the LG G6 is the better TV, with a brighter screen, less glare and a flush mount in the box. The C6 is a fine fit for a dim room, and the 77 or 83-inch C6H is the pick if a bigger screen matters more. Wait only if a manufacturer sale price is the one thing holding you back.

That is the real choice. The better TV, or the bigger TV. Buy now, or wait and wonder. Below is what each choice means once the TV is on your wall.

What that means on a New York wall
Same size: a 65-inch G6 or a 65-inch C6?
Most people comparing these two are looking at the same screen size. Often that is 65 inches. At that size, the gap is wider than the names suggest.
- The two TVs use different panels. The G6 uses LG's newest, brighter panel. The C6 from 42 to 65 inches uses an older, lesser panel.
- The G6 is clearly brighter. You see it most in bright scenes and in a room with daylight.
- The G6 handles reflections better. Its screen coating keeps windows and lamps out of the picture far better than the C6's.
- In a dim room, the gap shrinks. Both make true black. At night with the lights low, you may not notice much difference in films.
The C6 has real strengths of its own.
- Color out of the box. The C6 can be more color-accurate before any adjustment. Out of the box, the G6 can look a touch too vivid.
- Viewing from the side. From a seat well off to the side, the G6 can show a slight tint. Both are OLEDs, so both still hold their picture at an angle far better than most LED TVs.
The G6 has two honest downsides at this size. It costs more, and its extra brightness only pays off if your room has light in it.
The bigger C6: the 77 and 83-inch C6H
At 77 and 83 inches, the C6 changes. LG's US model names for these sizes end in C6H.
- The C6H uses the same newer panel type as the G6. That is why it is so much closer to the G6 than the smaller C6 sizes.
- The G6 is still ahead. It is brighter, and its screen handles reflections better.
- The C6H is the big-screen pick at 77 and 83 inches. It shares the G6's newer panel type, so you keep most of the G6's picture on a bigger screen.
How each one goes on the wall
The two TVs come in the box in opposite ways.
- The G6: a flush wall mount in the box, no stand. LG sells the G6 with its flush wall mount supplied. It sits about 1 inch from the wall.
- The C6 and C6H: a stand in the box, no wall mount. They go on a standard wall bracket and sit about 2 inches deep without the stand. We bring the right bracket for your wall.
- LG makes the G6 in 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches.
- Gaming. Both have four HDMI ports with 4K at 120Hz. LG says the G6 supports up to 165Hz, which matters most for a gaming PC.
Weight matters on an old wall. LG lists these weights without a stand.
- 77-inch: G6 72.8 lb, C6H 51.8 lb.
- 83-inch: G6 82 lb, C6H 62.4 lb.
We carry it up and bring it to the room it is going in.
Buy now, or wait for Black Friday 2026?
This is the question that keeps people up at night. Here is what is actually known.
- Black Friday 2026 is Friday, 27 November.
- Whatever price LG, Sony, Samsung or Sonos shows on its own manufacturer website during its Black Friday sale is the price we sell it for.
- Last year, LG announced its Black Friday manufacturer sale on 24 November 2025. It guaranteed that price through 1 December. That was last year. LG has not said it will do the same in 2026.
The fear on both sides is the same: regret. Buy now and the price may drop. Wait and you watch the old TV for weeks.
Our one rule on sale prices is short.
During manufacturer sales, including Black Friday, we match eligible prices from Samsung, Sony, LG, Sonos and Bang & Olufsen, and from Best Buy and B&H.
65, 77 or 83 inches?
Size regret runs one way. People who went smaller wish they had gone bigger. Very few wish the reverse.
“I went with the 77 after briefly considering the 65, and now wish I had the 83.”
— one owner, r/LGOLED (thread)
“I just upgraded from a 65 to 77 at 10' and it's such a big difference.”
— one owner, r/LGOLED (thread)
- Use LG's rule. Measure from your seat to the screen in inches, then divide by 1.2. The answer is LG's suggested screen size.
- If the choice is a 65-inch G6 or a 77-inch C6H, the bigger C6H often wins. It shares the newer panel type, so you lose less than you would at 65.
- What you give up: the flush mount in the box, a little brightness, and the G6's better anti-reflection screen.
- Measure the wall width and the way in. For 83 inches, check the elevator, the stair turns and the apartment door. Send us the numbers with your request and we check them.
A bright room with big windows
A sunny New York living room can turn a glossy screen into a mirror.
- The C6 and C6H pick up more reflections than the G6. In a bright room, that is often the whole decision.
- If your windows face the screen, pick the G6.
- If the room is dim most of the time, the C6 or C6H is a fine choice.
- If the sun lands on the screen for hours, look at the Sony BRAVIA 9 II instead. It is an LCD built to stay bright in daylight.
Will it burn in?
Burn-in is a real OLED risk for both TVs. A static image left on screen for long periods can mark the screen. Score bars, channel logos and a game's health bar are the usual causes.
- It matters for all-day sports and news. It matters far less for films and shows.
- LG builds in care features. One example is Pixel Refresher, which LG now also calls Pixel Cleaning. LG says it runs automatically when you turn the TV off with the remote and leave it plugged in.
- LG says its OLED care technology helps protect against burn-in. That lowers the risk. It does not guarantee burn-in will never happen.
The 5-year panel warranty: G6 only
This is a real difference between the two, and it is easy to miss.
- LG's OLED Care+ 5-year limited panel warranty covers the G6. LG lists it for the G5, G6 and W6.
- The C6 and C6H are not on that list.
- Year 1 covers parts and labor. Years 2 to 5 cover the panel only, and labor is charged.
- LG's terms do not say whether burn-in is covered. Read them before you buy, and do not count on it.
If you plan to keep the TV ten years, the longer panel warranty is a real point for the G6.
The sound
Neither TV is built for big sound. The speakers are thin, and the sound will not fill a large living room. A soundbar fixes that. We mount it under the TV with our soundbar mounting service, from $69.
The flush mount, and the plug behind it
Many people fear the flush mount means a big hole in the wall. Here is what it really means.
- A flush G6 sits about 1 inch from the wall. The plug and cord need somewhere to go.
- We plan where the plug goes before we mount. Often the clean answer is a recessed outlet behind the TV, with our TV mounting with power and cable in the wall service, from $599. The opening is small, and the TV covers it.
- Some New York City walls have metal studs. We plan the hardware for the wall you have.
- We hide the cables. You see the TV, not the wires.
No wire hanging down. No box on show. A finished room.
G6 or C6: how to choose
Pick the G6 if:
- Your windows face the TV, or the room is bright when you watch.
- You want it flat on the wall, about 1 inch deep, with the mount in the box.
- You plan to keep it ten years or more and want LG's 5-year panel warranty.
- You game on a PC and want up to 165Hz.
Pick the C6 (65 inches or smaller) if:
- You watch mostly at night with the lights low.
- You want accurate color without changing settings.
- You would rather spend the difference on a soundbar or the wall work.
Pick the 77 or 83-inch C6H if:
- A bigger screen matters more than the flush mount.
- The room is not full of sun.
Wait if a manufacturer sale price is the only thing holding you back. Book the install either way. The wall work takes longer to plan than the delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 65-inch C6 the same panel as the G6?
No. At 65 inches and below, the C6 uses an older, lesser panel than the G6. The G6 is brighter and handles reflections better. In a dim room, the gap is smaller, and the C6 can be more color-accurate out of the box.
Is the 77-inch C6 the same panel as the G6?
Close. At 77 and 83 inches, the C6H uses the same newer panel type as the G6. The G6 is still brighter and has the better anti-reflection screen.
Does the C6 come with a wall mount?
No. LG ships the C6 and C6H with a stand and no wall mount. We fit it with a wall bracket for your wall type. The G6 is the reverse: a flush wall mount in the box and no stand.
Does the C6 get LG's 5-year panel warranty?
No. LG lists its OLED Care+ 5-year limited panel warranty for the G5, G6 and W6, not the C6 or C6H. LG's terms do not say whether burn-in is covered.
Will LG lower the G6 price on Black Friday 2026?
LG sets its own sale price. Whatever price LG, Sony, Samsung or Sonos shows on its own manufacturer website during its Black Friday sale is the price we sell it for. Last year LG announced on 24 November and guaranteed its Black Friday price through 1 December. Black Friday 2026 is Friday, 27 November.
Do you price match during Black Friday 2026?
During manufacturer sales, including Black Friday, we match eligible prices from Samsung, Sony, LG, Sonos and Bang & Olufsen, and from Best Buy and B&H.
Will an LG OLED burn in?
It can, if a static image stays on screen for long periods. LG says its OLED care technology, such as Pixel Refresher, helps protect against burn-in. That lowers the risk, but it is not a promise. For films and shows, the risk is far lower than for all-day news or sports.
Can I buy the TV somewhere else and have you install it?
Yes. You can buy the TV anywhere and book the installation. TV mounting starts from $175. The booking page shows your estimated total before you submit your booking request.
Is the 97-inch G6 the same as the smaller sizes?
Not quite. The 97-inch has a lower top refresh rate than the smaller G6 sizes, and it does not get the same anti-reflection screen. If glare matters in your room, ask us before you choose it.
Your worries, answered
Choosing between these two comes with a few real worries. Here is what we do about each one.
- "Should I wait for Black Friday?" During manufacturer sales, including Black Friday, we match eligible prices from Samsung, Sony, LG, Sonos and Bang & Olufsen, and from Best Buy and B&H.
- "Is the C6 just a G6 without the flush mount?" At 77 and 83 inches it is close. At 65 inches and below it is a different, lesser panel. Tell us the size and we tell you which applies.
- "Will it burn in, or glare in my sunny room?" Tell us which way your windows face and what you watch. We match the TV to your room, and we explain LG's care features and warranty plainly.
- "Will the flush mount leave a hole or a hanging plug?" We plan where the plug goes, the TV covers the opening, and we hide the cables.
- "Will an 83-inch get up my stairs?" Send us your elevator, stair and door sizes. We check before you order and carry it to the room.
TV mounting starts from $175. The booking page shows your estimated total before you submit your booking request.
