Samsung Frame TV Installed Above a Fireplace in NYC's West Village

The client wanted two Samsung Frame TVs and two gallery walls to feel like part of the West Village home. The crew recessed the living room TV's box and power behind the wall, mounted the second TV in the hallway, and arranged the art throughout the home.

Hiding the Frame TV box inside the fireplace wall

The crew opened the wall above the fireplace and set a 17-inch AV box inside it. The box holds the One Connect box, power and cables so the Frame TV can sit flat against the wall.

The fireplace wall was the most involved part of the home. The crew opened the drywall, fitted the recessed AV box and brought power inside it. The One Connect box, cables and devices then had a hidden home behind the Samsung Frame TV, leaving the screen centered above the black fireplace between the built-in shelves.

  • A square in-wall box is recessed into the wall below the TV brackets, holding a power adapter, cabling and an HDMI cable, ready to be closed up once the TV goes on.
  • The client chose two Frame TV installations with AV boxes set inside the walls.
  • Each Frame TV package included a 17-inch AV box for the Samsung One Connect box and two devices, with power brought inside the box.

The crew set a 12-picture gallery and a five-picture gallery, then placed larger framed art and an ornate mirror. The finished living room centers the Frame TV above the fireplace.

The crew first arranged the smaller frames on the floor to settle their spacing. They hung a 12-picture gallery and a five-picture gallery, then mounted a large framed picture above the sofa, a framed landscape and an ornate mirror. By the end of the visit, the living room had its books and objects back on the shelves, with the Frame TV showing art above the fireplace.
