# Wall-Mounted PA Speakers and Ceiling Projectors in a Manhattan Performance Space

A Manhattan performance space wanted its two powered speakers off their floor stands and two projectors hung from the ceiling. The crew mounted both speakers on adjustable wall brackets and set both projectors on ceiling arms beside the sprinkler pipe.

## The Story

### Two PA speakers off their stands and two projectors up on the ceiling

A Manhattan performance space wanted two powered speakers moved from floor stands to the walls and two projectors hung from the ceiling. The projectors would shine straight onto the walls.

A performance space in Manhattan had two powered speakers standing on floor stands. The client wanted them up on the walls, out of the way of the room. She also wanted two projectors hung from the ceiling, with no screens, so the walls themselves would carry the picture.

### Brackets picked, wall padding to come off, projector arms set by the sprinkler pipe

The client chose the brackets and mounts and kept all cables outside the walls. Her own team handled the cabling and power. The projector spots moved to sit near a ceiling sprinkler pipe.

The client picked adjustable wall brackets for the speakers and truss mounts for the projectors. Foam padding covered the speaker walls, and she agreed it would be cut back wherever a bracket needed bare wall. Her own team took care of the cabling, power and connections, and every cable stayed outside the wall. Before the visit she moved the projector spots to sit near a sprinkler pipe in the ceiling.

On Tuesday, October 20, two technicians mounted both speakers on the walls and hung both projectors from the ceiling.

Two technicians came on Tuesday. Both speakers now hang on black adjustable brackets high on the walls, tilted into the room, with the foam padding trimmed to leave bare wall behind each bracket. Both Epson projectors hang from ceiling arms next to the white pipes, lined up with green laser lines.
