# Framed Art and Swing-Arm Wall Lights Hung on New Wallpaper in a Manhattan Apartment

**Area:** Manhattan
**Services:** Mounting, General Mounting

A Manhattan client had about five framed pieces and two plug-in swing-arm lights to hang once her new wallpaper was up. We came after it was finished and hung everything straight in one visit.

## The Story

### Five framed pieces and two wall lights waiting on new wallpaper in a Manhattan apartment

A Manhattan client had about five framed pieces to hang and two plug-in swing-arm lights to mount. The wallpaper was going up first, so the hanging was set for after it was finished.

A Manhattan client was having a room papered and wanted her art back on the walls afterward. She sent photos of the pieces and the space: bright paintings of baskets of vegetables and figures, a jazz print, a mirror and a large framed print. Some had to come down for the wallpaper and go back up. Then she added two plug-in swing-arm lights, to hang in the same space beside the bed. Because the wallpaper went up first, the crew's visit was set for after it was done.

### Levelling the frames on the new grasscloth wallpaper

On October 29 Parviz hung the framed pieces on the new wallpaper, using a level on the top edge of each frame.

On the afternoon of October 29 Parviz came to the apartment with the wallpaper finished. He rested a blue torpedo level on the top edge of a black frame to hang it dead straight on the grey wall, then worked through the other pieces and the two swing-arm lights.

### Art and swing-arm lights, straight above the bed and on the textured walls

The finished room has a large print centered above the headboard between two black swing-arm wall lights, plus a jazz print and a painting of standing figures on the textured walls.

Above the tufted headboard a large framed print hangs centered between two black swing-arm wall lights, with the brick wall and window to its right. Around the apartment a colourful jazz print with a white mat and a large painting of standing figures hang straight on the textured wallpaper.
