# A Ceiling Projector Mount and Pull-Down Screen for a Manhattan Office Lounge

**Area:** Manhattan
**Services:** TV Mounting, Office AV

An office team in Manhattan wanted their lounge to double as a presentation room. Under an open ceiling of ducts and pipes, two technicians hung a pull-down projector screen and a ceiling projector mount.

## The Story

### An office lounge that should double as a presentation room

The client wanted a projector screen and projector in the office lounge, and the building had its own rules for any vendor working there.

The client's office has a lounge with sofas, framed prints and an open ceiling full of ducts and pipes. The client wanted it to work for presentations too, with a screen that comes down when needed. The client marked the spot under the ceiling beam where the screen should hang. Building management asked every vendor for proof of insurance and a signed waiver before the work, and the team sent both ahead of the date.

### Hanging a screen and a projector under an open ceiling

Two technicians fixed the screen case under the ceiling beam and hung the projector mount from an overhead pipe.

Two technicians came on the agreed day. An open ceiling has no flat surface to screw into, so they worked with what was there. The long screen case went up tight against the underside of the ceiling beam. The projector mount went onto one of the overhead pipes, on an adjustable pole, so the projector can sit at the right height and angle for the screen. Then they ran the power and signal cables.

### A pull-down screen ready for the next presentation

The screen now pulls down above the lounge sofa and rolls back up into its case, leaving the room as it was.

The lounge now does two jobs. When the team needs it, the screen comes down above the leather sofa for a presentation. When it goes back up, the case sits neatly under the beam beside the ceiling lights, and the room is a lounge again.
