# A TV and Soundbar on a Full-Motion Mount Above a Brick Fireplace in Manhattan

**Area:** Manhattan
**Services:** Subcontracting, TV Mounting

A Manhattan client wanted a TV above a brick fireplace with the soundbar right under it. The crew bolted a full-motion arm above the mantel, levelled the TV and ran the cords under one white cover.

## The Story

### A bare wall above a brick fireplace, between two wall lights

The client wanted a TV and soundbar above the living room fireplace. The wall above the mantel was bare and had a wall light on each side.

The living room has a brick fireplace, a white mantel and a wall light on each side of the chimney wall. The wall above the mantel was bare, so the plan was a full-motion arm mount so the TV can turn toward the sofa, with a soundbar right under the screen.

### A full-motion arm bolted above the fireplace, then the TV levelled on it

Two technicians bolted a black full-motion arm to the wall above the fireplace and hung the TV on it.

The crew bolted a black full-motion arm to the wall above the mantel and hung the TV on its arms. A white cable was tied neatly along the arm. They set a blue spirit level on top of the screen to get the TV straight before closing up.

### The TV and soundbar settle in above the mantel, cords under one cover

The finished wall holds the TV between the two wall lights with the soundbar directly under it and a white cord cover running down to the mantel.

The TV now hangs centered above the mantel between the two wall lights. The soundbar is mounted directly under the screen, so it reads as one piece. A slim white cord cover runs down the wall beside the brick and along the baseboard, keeping the cords tidy.
